What Is A Pre-Authorization Hold?Updated 10 months ago
If you notice you have more than one charge after your purchase, it is likely that your bank has placed a pre-authorization hold on the card used at the time of purchase.
A pre-authorization hold will appear as an additional charge on your bank statement, but is only temporary. These will become voided out and typically fall off of your bank statement within 1-5 business days, but will ultimately depend on your bank. Rest assured, these charges are not being deducted from your debit/credit card.
For any additional questions relating to these holds, please contact your specific bank for additional assistance.
